GIG REVIEWS : FIRST BLOOD show

The last show i saw was TERROR coming from California, Still the band does not make me move. But last saturday. It was a blast! Finding out First Blood coming over this side of earth make me super excited. The show start at 4pm i guess seeing local bands certainly can start up the mood. The local bands perform that day i guess carefully selected because their experience and their music. Some of them are not known to me such as Medusa, and Daarchlea. The show start of with some kick from band called Medusa. I don't enjoy much their sets and i took off to meet friends who haven't seen so long. Burnout take the show will some old school hardcore stuff mainly influence by CBK, honestly i think the guy from who played session for Kids On The Move really seems to enjoy much more than others. I guess lack of experience the Burnout kids seems shaky but they have songs that can make kids jump around. After a while i just hang out for a while I think Daarchelea a new band and i haven't really got a chance to hear their song or ep before so i cant review much their music.But when they came into stage ! They were great with a blend of melodic metal and grind. I amaze the young guys have shown some quality in Metal area and this band i will look out for in the future. Deadscore comin on stage with some brutal hardcore, this band are giving their music a pretty much mosh core style which was did in the 90's . I think when in a band when u wanna do something on the 90's hardcore a band should put some of refreshing riff. Overall ok for me. Cassandra then took the stage. sadly again not playing their anthem song but playing their new song which will be release somewhere this year under Teark Ark Records. A promising song and i follow through and the riff and the energy is there. but sadly no lyrics n i dont understand since its a new song.Then Alcatraz which consist a line up from First Blood coming into the stage and show what they are about and i am amaze, i dont know why the international bands sound so good even playin in One Cafe this one does not dissapoint me. And the energy and the music makes everybody move around following the music beat . This is what i call NYC style and really make the pumpin mood. After Alcatraz i couldnt wait any longer so i stand aside and wait for First Blood comin. And yes when First Blood comin on stage its really like a storm of moshing hardcore and the vocals scream like in the records. I couldn't tell how much energy and crazy First Blood set started with the anthem "next time i see you, you're dead" and the whole song, moshing and circle pits and everybody sing along every single of their song except two new songs from their next ep. But First Blood have shown how much their quality as a band , with message and performer on stage. This is not some band and they put their heart and energy on the set even they are tired after travelling allot. First Blood will become one of the band I remembered. As those guys who cannot make it. I feel so bad that they cant share the moment there. But hopefully the videos i upload here could be some cure for it. First Blood you guys have make my year start fill with energy!

Rants : OMG The Killers Cancel

The Killers pull off and announce on 22 Jan 2010, most people and my friends will be disappointed over this. And thank god i got the chance to see the band in new future. Perhaps there's good in this situation. I hope all my friends who will at the show do not feel disappointed because we here in KL have First Blood show today at 3pm 23 Jan! and i certainly will enjoy this show since this its the show Ive been expecting to see before The Killers show.

The Killers cancel Asian tour

Band pull dates due to 'unforeseen circumstances'
The Killers have canceled their forthcoming Asian tour dates due to what they have called "unforeseen circumstances".

The band had been set to play gigs in Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo and Seoul within the next month but have scrapped the dates, they announced on their official website, Thekillersmusic.com.

Brandon Flowers and co put a message on the site saying: "It is with great regret that The Killers have been forced to cancel their upcoming appearances," citing that "unforeseen circumstances involving a serious illness of a close family member", were behind the decision to pull the tour.

They added: "The band deeply apologizes to their fans and hopes to reschedule their shows in these cities soon, we hope you understand and respect our privacy at this difficult time."

The Killers are still scheduled to play gigs in Australia, kicking off in Sydney on February 13.

The Killers recently revealed that they plan to go on haitus following their remaining tour dates.

And educating the public or the people what is independent about. stereowave.my does not exist for some people who just use the "scene" and call it "indie " because they think this is youth culture and taking advantage from corporate sponsor and make it their business.

STEREOWAVE.MY its a purely project from developers who love metal,hardcore,indie-rock, punk rock and all genre music they could find honestly from their heart. And this is why we exist. We do not want some corporate chump come to indie bandwagon and saying they been supporting the scene from the start and claim the "scene" is belong to them. This scene has start from the street and for the street kids. An outcast where they called punk ! called names because we play music different from what they here. And now they came into scene. Somehow they use it as theirs. so now is time for the kids start something.

ARTICLE : INDIE EXPLOSION??

Its 2010 , a new resolution an indie scene have become slow than before. Whats next? It become dull last year. Not much happening on gig side. but concert or some corporate label sponsors have become attraction to the kids. I guess there are pro and cons on it.

Music Reviews : Vendetta "demo:"

Receiving this band demo VENDETTA from Indonesia. demo excites me. After seeing live videos and their performance playin cover songs from LAMB OF GOD. I amaze there's a 2 girls and 2 guy can deliver such powerful and energetic vocals. Listening their two demo songs Vengance and Mutilasi Arogansi i does not fail . and i amaze the girl guitarist called Prisa. She deliver the song with full energy and between songs its remind of LOG but yet still deliver their original touch!.
